Competence Assessment
Overview
IIAPS offers a unique web-based approach for the assessment and benchmarking of individual competencies in purchasing and supply management, covering the full range of both hard and soft skills.
IIAPS believe that competence assessment requires the benchmarking of current individual performance, both against an ideal (or world-class) standard, as well as against best-in-class standards for the specific role profile that an individual has to undertake within an organisation.
Technical competence assessment is achieved using The ICA Index™. This is an on-line competence assessment and benchmarking tool to understand individual competence gaps and training needs in purchasing and supply management.
The ICA Index™ analyses the experience and level of knowledge and understanding of an individual in managing all of the pre-contractual and post-contractual activities and tasks in the strategic sourcing process.
Behavioural (soft skills) competence assessment is achieved through expert competency-based interviewing. The Competency Framework and Indicators are perfectly aligned to the ICA Index™ and the individual and group assessment reports provide a comprehensive view on which to base development programmes.
